Shabazz' freshman teammate Stephen Zimmerman who is 6'11 is considered by some to be the #1 in the class of 2015. No offer from UK yet. Offers from KU, UConn, UNLV.

I thought I read that DSR was visiting UK this weekend yet I then read that he is announcing on Saturday. Anyone?

Announcing Saturday. Should be GTown, but with DSR you just never know...

What other schools were on Mom's final list?:D

You just never know...

Bob Gibbons tweeted that he thinks the first UK verbal for 2012 will be PF Robert Carter from GA.

The kid told ESPN that UK has not been clear with him as to an offer being made or not. My guess is that if you're not sure there's no offer.

All signs point to Cuse...

It's official.

Two valiant efforts by Calipari trying to pry these guys out of the back yards of some of the elites but he's now got two strikes on him in regards to guys he really wanted in this class. It is starting to look like Kentucky is going to miss out on that true big man recruit again this season. No true 5 man on the team right now, and although he may get some run at the 4 at Syracuse he would have in all likely hood played the 5 at Kentucky. A lot of people were expecting Willie Cauley to give a commitment sometime after Madness but has seemed to favor K State after his last couple of trips. Wiltjer could play the 5 if he comes back for a sophomore season and Kentucky could go long and versatile with the big guys they do get this class (Poythress? Jefferson?), but IMO they needed that true big in this class. There are so many talented bigs in this class I thought Kentucky would at least land one but its looking more and more unlikely at this point. Calipari now may start to put more heat on Robert Carter if he wants that true post.

As JDrummond pointed out Syracuse better not let the kid call Cal to tell him he's not coming.

But that would be the polite thing to do, they just better hope Terrence Jones doesn't answer.

Sounds like Willie Cauley is coming to UK.

If so then good thing. He was about the last true 5 in the mix for Cal so I am glad he landed him. No true 5 in back to back classes would have been bad, as much as guard play rules the NCAA you have to have quality bigs. May be a year or two before Cauley contributes, but at least they now have a big body in the fold, one with a lot of upside,

2 on the board, Goodwin and Cauley.

Even without Bazz Kentucky could still have a monster class.

Harrow (transfer)

Goodwin

Harris

Poythress

Jefferson

Cauley

That's an outstanding class right there with once again a crop of players who are very long, versatile, and can be inter-changable in a lot of things. Harris and Jefferson may not be locks, but Kentucky stands as good of chance as anyone in that regard. Getting them along with Poythress would be another job well done on the recruiting circuit for Calipari.
