No, the statement he released Monday said he strongly felt a separation was needed but didn't mention anything about retirement and complimented the Brown family profusely. The media included that he was mulling retirement if he did not get his wish.

Carson's agent had to tell him that. Today someone on Mike and Mike said his wife wants him on the West Coast or to retire and that he's earned over $130M and he has saved so much that he migh retire.

Dillon eventually got out and won a title. Pickens and 85 aren't nearly as smart as Palmer. They also aren't set up financially nearly as well. Palmer has the most power and the most leverage of anyone that has ever battled with Brown.

Pickens got out and ended up with the Titans I would trade 85 and Palmer and get something of value before they are not worth anything.

It could have come any of a number of sources....ones that weren't completely accurate as well... "Someone said" that Carson's wife wants to be on the West Coast????? You need to do better than that...

Trade demands during the season then????????? Sorry, don't buy it!!!!! Plus, I never doubted the request for a trade; Mike Brown and Palmer CONFIRMED that it happened "last week." I don't believe the "retirement threat" is real or has been stated to the Bengals.
