January 25, 201115 yr I just thought about the question again. Did you mean the latest model forecast? It has changed again. For those in Central and South Central Kentucky. Two inches tonight another three tomorrow. Also it looks like the storm is shifting further west. I'd say it might change again when this afternoon models are released. I was asking about the one that predicted the amount of snow. In the West here there was no forecast of any snow yesteday at this time now there is. Local weather people here are saying under 1 inch.

January 25, 201115 yr This is the one that scares me in NKY they have been correct so far to date and ready to miss one. Nothing would surprise me this winter. Hoping for a dusting at best I can't afford to fall again with all this melting and icing. JD
January 25, 201115 yr Right now it looks like 4-8 of wet snow in the mountain co's, Then 3-6 from Ashland, and down a line to the southern parts of Montgomery, Clark, and all of Madison. 1-4 from southern Jefferson up to Mason. NKY gets an inch or less :irked:.
January 25, 201115 yr Author Winter Storm Watch for Eastern and Southeastern Kentucky has been upgraded to a warning. Special Weather Statement has been issued for Northern Kentucky. Also afternoon NAM run has a lot more moisture making it into Central Kentucky .75 of a inch to be exact. With the normal ratio of 10 inches of snow to 1 inch of moisture and if it holds true that could mean 71/2 inches of snow for that area. One last thing before I have to run. The storm is moving in faster than anyone thought.
January 25, 201115 yr Author I need to correct my previous post. The afternoon NAM runs show more than .75 inches of moisture making it into Central Kentucky. That could mean 8 inches of snow or more!
January 25, 201115 yr I just read the NWS special weather statement for NKY that basically said they weren't expecting us to get anything but that the path of the storm has shifted and that if it continues to shift further north that we would expect to see much higher accumulations for our area......
