January 24, 201115 yr 4-10 does not please me... I'll take the lowest end of that possible, please. I get it -- Snow is pretty... But not at the expense of being cold. 10" of heavy snow is going to bring a lot of things down.

January 25, 201115 yr I'm not qualified to speak on this topic but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night...I'm going out on a limb here but I say the forecasts shift North and NKY gets about 4-6 inches, or at least that's what I am hoping for...I have no problem getting to work no matter how much snow we get my Infinity QX4 has proven to go through anything...I just love how just before the snow everything is all hustle and bustle but once the White Death begins it's wrath things seem to get really slow and chilled...The day before everyone stocks up on supplies and food as if the world is set to end and they don't own a freezer and then once it starts snowing people tend to try and stay home making the grocery store where I work eerily slow allowing for some easy earned cash...I love the snow!!!

January 25, 201115 yr Author Winter Storm Watch has just been issued for portions of South Central and East Central Kentucky. In short it says that in the watch area there is a potential of 4 or more inches of snow from tonight through Wednesday morning. Winter Storm Watch

January 25, 201115 yr Author What is the latest model for this? thanks There are several forecast models that meterologist use to predict the weather. These are computer generated models that try and take all of the various variables into consideration and predict what the weather will do. The NAM model is for North America. There are models for different parts of the world but they can use all of them to try and predict the weather. In fact they watch them all and see how close they all come in agreement then base their forecast on that. Well, let me change that. Some weather people do. I've noticed that some will just go with what the National Weather Service predicts.
