I don't know why anyone would be upset about this hiring. I've been going to Camels football games for several years, I've seen good, but oh my, I've seen more bad than I want to admit. The program is heading in the right direction I have to believe Coach Lickert will be a good fit, and can take the Camels to the next level. This Camel fan wishes him all the best, and of course, I'm always available to give advice if he gets in a bind

Why not focus on supporting the coach and the program, help build it up to the potential that has been predicted, and then if he were to leave, it will be that much more of a desirable position for other coaches to aspire to?

Not surprised, I figured Lickert would be the new coach when the position was announced. The supporters of Campbell County football really need to be behind him and if they are, things will definitely improve from what they have been.

They do have a couple of other options at QB as well. JV starting QB Tyler Walsh had a solid year. The freshman QB ( i know he is only a sophmore) showed that he could run an offense in his first year of qb'ing.

 

Either way I think the days of throwing the ball as much as they did the past couple of years are over.

He had a good thing going at Holmes until the new realignment came over the horizon. I think overall Holmes has more talent and would have better teams than Campbell County, but Holmes won't compete in their new district. Holmes will be playing for 3rd place every year. The Camels will at least be in the hunt.

So are you saying that Holmes would of done better than CC in 6a if Lickert was still coaching there?
