Not that big of a surprise Cats playing a good running team with a run defense that hasn't stopped anyone in years. Agree with some eariler post Cats didn't look like they wanted to be playing. Also agree teams with a 500 record should not be in bowl games. As for Joker he never impressed me as an offensive co so why would anyone except the powers to be except him to be a good coach. Newton I can give one more chance but so far he has not looked like an SEC QB. Also don't think Kentucky will ever be that strong in football not enough in-state players that can play in SEC and Kentucky just doesn't get enough stud players from out of state to have a strong SEC football team.

I had very low expectations for the CATS this year. I've been a faithful follower for a long long time. Just felt like they were going to struggle this year. I was happy to see them get another bowl game. That game was hard to watch though. I know this much if I was coaching that team Cobb would have touched the ball close to 30 times yesterday and Locke would have had most of the rest! No brainer IMO! Especially Cobb's last game in his home state! Put a saddle on him I say!

I'd like to thank Cobb. He has been one of the more fun KY Wildcats to ever put on the jersey!

6-7 sounds great to me.

1-0 is Music to my ears...:sssh:

Boring game. Why didn't they let Cobb take a few snaps at QB?

I never thought I'd say this, but Kentucky actually missed Mike Hartline. I think Newton will be fine going forward, but that was just an ugly game.

Worst game I've EVER set through in my entire life. Legion is the worst stadium as well. It is beyond me how Birmingham, AL has a bowl game. Now, we had a great time, but we will have a great time anywhere. As far as the game though...nothing about it was good. If you've never been to a game in that stadium you can't imagine what a horrible, horrible place it is.

I'm curious. What makes the stadium so horrible?

That game was very painful to sit through and watch yesterday. And I even considered traveling from Ft Thomas to Alabama to watch that crap. Play after play you could see the lack of discipline throughout Ky's players. It's too bad that a couple of players can't control their emotions and just play the game like they have been there before.....Oh wait, Kentucky's not use to success so that explains a lot to me....Joker will be given another year and when he gets waxed by Louisville next year and fights off another stellar SEC league performance, he will be packing it in....

Good post Stick1. I totally agree too.

Smaller seating room than Neyland, which is nearly impossible, but it is true. One of the worst neighborhoods you will go too. Absolutely no room to tailgate. The "jumbotron" looked like my 27 inch TV from 1978...and didn't show replays. The bathrooms looked like a scene from a 'Saw' movie. It really looked like a place that no one had played in for 20 years. The concession sales guys walking around selling beer didn't have any ID on them. It looked like they just bought some cans of Bud Light and were walking around selling it. One guy would charge 5 bucks, one would charge 6, couple guys charging 7. It was interesting to say the least.

Makes you wonder if that's why Alabama/Auburn stopped playing in Birmingham, or if the stadium/city just stopped worked on the stadium since they no longer host the Iron Bowl.

It was a terrible experience. One of the baords seemingly died in the first quarter and we didn't get a single replay after that either. It was a joke of a stadium. We made the mistake of visiting the area the night before and it was, to say the least, terrifying. We were told by our hotel staff to avoid that area at night  Sounds like a great place for a bowl game.....

We stayed in Hoover and stayed IN HOOVER the entire time except for the game.

I went to a game at Legion Field years and years ago as a young boy. My have things changed!

The stadium is very old and the neighborhood is rough.

The PA announcer couldn't be heard in the first half.

The replay screen was out of order.

The only thing worst than Legion Field itself was the performance of the Kentucky Wildcats.

Cobb is from TN, not AL, but I agree that he should have gotten more touches.
