January 11, 201115 yr Worst game I've EVER set through in my entire life. Legion is the worst stadium as well. It is beyond me how Birmingham, AL has a bowl game. Now, we had a great time, but we will have a great time anywhere. As far as the game though...nothing about it was good. If you've never been to a game in that stadium you can't imagine what a horrible, horrible place it is. I didn't think the actual stadium was THAT bad. Yeah it's old, but once inside I never thought about it. Now the location and drive to the stadium were a little scary. Highlight of the weekend for the wife and I was was eating at Shula's at the Wynfrey Hotel. Without a doubt, the best steak I've ever tasted!
January 11, 201115 yr Makes you wonder if that's why Alabama/Auburn stopped playing in Birmingham, or if the stadium/city just stopped worked on the stadium since they no longer host the Iron Bowl. The upper deck was basically condemned so they lost 9,000 seats and that took the capacity to below the level they could guarantee in Tuscaloosa. I believe this occurred in 2004.
January 11, 201115 yr Cobb is from TN, not AL, but I agree that he should have gotten more touches. That's funny. I'm so used to them playing in the Music City Bowl I had it on my mind even after I watched the Tenn/UNC game.
