Most other UK fans are a lot more optimistic than I. I think UL wins this, and I would not at all be surprised if they won in a convincing manner.

Don't know if UL has any one to handle him if---and it is a big if------Jones shows up with his A game. UL has a much deeper rotation. It may come down to who is hitting their threes. I think this shapes up as a very, very interesting game.

I believe it's going to be an interesting game and believe that Louisville wins in a fairly close one. Go Cards !!!

This is my thoughts in a nutshell. I'm cautiously hopeful, but not optimistic.

This Louisville team is playing better than I would have thought, especially with Swopshire not playing. They seem to have found a chemistry, and they are deep. Their opponents for the most part have been less than stellar and UK will be the toughest team they've played so far. I really think this game will be a measuring stick for both teams----to see where they are as they enter conference play. Both teams have new components which they are trying to mesh. It should be a dandy.

The way I look at this is there is not one team on the UL schedule that could beat UK. I also think UL would have lost both games UK did.....................................UK has played teams the caliber of UL and better so far this season. The reverse simply is not true and therefore the Cards will struggle with the UK defense and its shooting.

Same here. UL is looking for a big statement in the Yum Center. Although Butler started the Yum Center era, it really gets underway this Friday.

Cats by 7 in triple overtime.

 My heart can't take triple OT.

Tough game to pick being in Louisville, UL hasn't played as tough of a schedule as UK has but they are at home. I hope it is more like the IU game than the UNC game. Cats by 12

At the beginning of the year, I would have said UK wins this game handily. Now it's much harder to call, IMO. Both teams have been playing well and scoring A LOT as of late. Louisville has played the best ball they've played in a while since the Drexel loss. If Terrance Jones plays the way he's capable, Louisville doesn't have anybody to guard him. This one comes down to who's shooting better (duh), and who wins the battle on the boards. Louisville cannot beat UK if they get out-rebounded. On the other side, I don't see UK winning if Terrance Jones doesn't have a decent game. I just don't think their supporting cast is good enough to beat Louisville, IF UL is playing well. Should be a fun game... I'll unfortunately be at work Friday, so I don't even know if I'll get to watch the game... :scared: I'll take the Cards at home by 6.

As with any game against good competition, UK has to stay out of foul trouble. I look for UL to try and get Jones in early foul trouble. Both games UK has dropped, they were in early foul trouble.

If KY gets in foul trouble it'll be a long long afternoon.

I agree 100% that is the key to this game.Cats can't win if they get in foul trouble should win if they don't make it 72-67 UK.

I think foul trouble will be a point of focus with both sqauds... UL has had issues with foul trouble a couple times this year, the competition just didn't exploit it. IMO, UL has the advantage down low, and if TJ and/or Gorgui get in early foul trouble, that could spell trouble for the Cards. Add to that, Preston and Peyton are prone to fouls because of their tenacious defense.

If KY gets in foul trouble it'll be a long long afternoon.

I agree with this too.
