December 27, 201015 yr As a Seahawks fan, I'm embarrassed that they're playing for the division crown on national television next Sunday night. On the flipside, I'm also excited that I get to watch them on TV for only the second time this season. Do I even want them to win the division? Is being the sacrificial lamb of the Saints/Packers/whoever worth the drop in draft position that comes with it? I understand "any given Sunday" but I don't think that's the case with the 'Hawks this year.
December 27, 201015 yr I wouldn't be embarrassed if I were a Seattle fan. I'd be excited and hoped they did get in. You can't win the SB without getting in.
December 27, 201015 yr I would be excited to its Carrol's first season as their coach and he already has them fighting for a playoff spot.

December 27, 201015 yr Author I'm not embarrassed that they have a chance to win the division. I'm embarrassed that the NFC West is going to be showcased on national TV. Trust me, I've watched every game they've played this season with the exception of the Saints game (I was on my honeymoon for that one) and they are as bad as advertised. I just have multiple trains of thought on this one. Of course I want them to win the division, but I genuinely don't think they have a chance of winning their first round game even though they'd get to host it. I'd also love them to prove me wrong though. As you can see, I'm all over the place.
December 27, 201015 yr I was excited to see this game flexed into the Sunday Night Matchup. However I will be pulling for Mr. Bradford in this one.
December 27, 201015 yr I heard the most shocking stat of the year last week. The point differentials for each division were being profiled prior to this week's games. The second worst division had a point differential of -38. The NFC West: -300. I want the Rams to win, but it would be comical to see a 7-9 team in the playoffs.

December 27, 201015 yr Even though the division is horrible, the Rams have made much improvement from where they were. I don't think that many believed they had the chance to finish the season at .500 and to win the division. Considering that they won only one game last season and are in the position that they are now with a rookie quarterback is impressive.
December 27, 201015 yr Author I think both the Seahawks and Rams should be happy with the way their seasons have gone. Like you said, the Rams have had a big turnaround from last season when they won only one game. The Seahawks are on their 3rd coach in 3 seasons and have a chance to improve 2 games from last year with over 200 roster moves this offseason. They were intentionally going into rebuild mode so every game they win was just icing on the cake. The only difference is the NFC West doesn't have a big dog while all of this is going on.
December 28, 201015 yr Looks like the Hawks will be led by Whitehurst. Seattle is 4-3 in front of thier 12th man, it's sure to be loud. Bradford has had a great rookie season and will only get better, the Rams have some nice young talent.
December 28, 201015 yr I haven't seen a Rams game all year. I'm looking forward to seeing George Selvie and Jerome Murphy for the first time in blue and gold as opposed to green and gold.
