Who's made the switch from a PC to a Mac? Happy with it? Do it again?

I use both. If money was no object, I'd have one of each. A PC for gaming, and a Mac for everything else.

I've switched and I'll never go back to a PC. I've had my Mac laptop for four years, it's been through hell and still works as if it was brand new.

Absolutely, 100%, never ever in a million year would I even think about going back to PC. As far as specs, the differences on paper aren't that big, but after using for a long time, you can tell the differences are night and day in all around user friendliness. I have 7 roommates, 3 of which have PCs. When we're not using our macs, they even refuse to use their PCs. I recommend Mac to anyone who ever asks.

If you have a Mac, obtain and load Parallels. Get a copy of Windows XP or 7 and load it with that program. Use an option in Parallels, called Convergence, and run everything from the Mac Doc, simultaneously. Coolest thing on the Mac. A Mac runs Windows better than any PC manufacturer I've found.

Never had an issue with a Mac.

If by less you mean none, than yea. I made the switch a little over two years ago. I have not had one regret since that time. As someone already stated unless you plan to do some hardcore gaming, I don't see how a Mac isn't the best choice as long as cost is the deciding factor. I love my iMac.

Isn't that a key point? I've never owned a PC that was expensive as the cheapest MAC. I'm sure a $1000 PC would be much better than a $400 one. Better than a MAC? I don't know.

 

That said, I'm buying one the next time I buy a computer and when I can afford it. I wanna be hip.

I've heard good things about that program. I use a Mac at work, however, so I won't be buying.
