I think that they will end up better, as an outsider imo Kragthorpe was a joke of a coach but in his defense it seemed that he did have to clean up some of Petrino's mess/thugs. As for Petrino the traveling snake oil salesman he showed what he was everywhere he has been, imo only a matter of time before he leaves Arkansas high and dry.

Strong imo is a class act, will do a good job building his program. I just hope that UL people realize what they have in him.

That's how the big boys do it. You have to go out and recruit over people at any chance you get if you wanna be a BCS program each year. Buckeyes did the very same thing this week taking Florida's top LB recruit who decommited after Urban left, right after we received a commit for a 3 star kid.

I think you will see him remain a Cardinal. Look for Smith to be the next Bush. They will give him a shot at QB.

Also hearing this commit has Demarcus Smith re-thinking his. Oregon, Boise St. are a couple who he mentioned has kept in touch.

In theory I agree. However, teams can run in and out many LBers. They play ONE QB.

Smith told Demling that he was a "little shaken" with the Bridgewater commitment but he's still a Cardinal. What I couldn't figure out from the wording is if Smith still plans on taking other visits.

From his quotes my guess is his first reaction was to look at options. However, with time he decided that UL was still his best choice.

I am not saying he is leaving UL nor was anyone else, but RP was dismissing the interview as if it never happened.

From experience, in situations like this what a recruit says in an interview is often the least reliable form of information...

That's not fair. He said he had heard that the exact opposite was what would happen. He never said the interview didn't happen, but as later clarified, he has information from other sources that say he will remain committed to UL.
