Is it illegal for him to fund his nephew's tuition? How about a couple of his budies?

Since this is a blatant rules violation, did you turn your extensive documentation over to the KHSAA? Didn't think so. By the way, who is Ruby? Can we get him/her to come down here and help some of our kids with tuition? It doesn't have to be a lot. Maybe just a few thousand to our annual appeal.

The Catholic community in Louisville, by and large, migrated outside of the downtown area. Don't insult my intelligence. Flaget didn't close on account of "penalties" placed upon them by administrations/the KHSAA/ or the community. They closed because the Catholic community in town had moved and their enrollment was dwindling. Trinity was lucky to be in the right place to pick up all those who moved east and St.X had already moved off of Broadway. The state rooting against us has nothing to do with the demographics of Louisville.

If anything, my gloom and doom gives you all something to argue about. The season is over and now we are left with things like this to talk about.

Here's another thing I'd like to throw out that is more on topic with this thread. Let's say we leave Highlands and/or Trinity with the same staff, same facilities, same school, administration and so on and so forth; the only thing we change are the players. Let's say, we only give either of those two places Campbell Co.'s team. Both places get 4 years to work with what Campbell Co. works with player wise, but use all the resorces available to T and Highlands. Do either of those places win a State Championship?

 

I bet neither even wins a regional title.

 

My point: It has very little to do with all the factors that are being considered by this thread's original premiss, and almost everything to do with the players.

Jeff Ruby's son attended Highlands for a few years so of course Jeff Ruby paid his tuition. His son played football as a freshman, but I believe he was injured his sophomore year and didn't play much. He transferred to Cincinnati Moeller, and then transferred back to Highlands for all or part of his senior year. He didn't play football as a senior.

First of all, I never said that Highlands was drawing kids from out of state. Funny you think I was even refering to Highlands when I was talking to LN. Since you mentioned it, however, there were a couple of kids out of Cincy earlier this decade who Ruby paid for their tuition, so don't try and act like it has never happened. I was talking about how I don't think out of state kids should be allowed to participate in KHSAA athletics, which was mostly centered toward Louisville privates who have Indiana players every year. BTW, the players that I refered to at the top were around 2001,2002, and 2003 and I don't know their names. Also, I will repeat that the out of state discussion is a rule issue, not a Highlands issue.

I remember reading about Ruby helping a couple kids out paying for their tuition it was in the newspaper several years ago.
