Towles played the entire game except for the last possession. One thing that is not hurt is his arm...lol. Looked like he was moving fairly well. In the grasp a couple of times and pulled loose. Like his QB coach very hard to bring down. BIG TIME Prospect.

Towles was outstanding tonight. No signs of any slowing up. Actually he was as elusive as ever. If he was slated as being hurt I would hate to see him in a healthly state. Great poise, determination and effort tonight from the Dirty Birds D. This game was NOT close as someone earlier said dont let the score fool you. HC was not going to score on Highlands. The lone score actually came after Highlands #5 left the game for 3 plays and wham!! HC takes advantage and scores on a long ball. This is a defensive unit that has carried this team all yr when the going has gotten tough. Go Birds 20n10

Just past Boyle Co football team on 25 west. We made sure we honked from Big Red!!!!! LOL!!!!

Well said and totally agree. Must say the HC fans were friendly and courteous as always. We had a lot of fun with the PA guy (respect fun) he was awesome and entertaining to say the least, (forgot to turn the mic off several times and had some slip ups) HC and Coach Larkey are a Class act and has earned this Highlands fan respect. I have to disagree with you, to some extent. The game was very much in question until the Birds started to get some breathing room in the third quarter. Up to that time, the Birds were making some errors and being stopped enough to keep Harlan in the game. Harlan pushed their way down the field more than once, and had a couple real close calls in the HHS redzone. However, as always, the Birds wore the opponent down in the long run and took them out of their game.

Towles is very impressive.........he's strong and tough to bring down. He doesn't panic in the pocket and throws a great ball. He's probably the best high school QB i have watched since Tim Couch. Just my opinion........

 

That's what I just said.

Cawood had a great team when Couch was a sophomore, but he was so big and strong they couldn't bring him down. I'm not saying he'll be the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, but he's very good.

Congats to Harlan County , you've come a long way in a short time. I'm sure your program will improve every year !!
