This was an important decision for the NCAA, I don't know if they got it right or not, but they set a framework for future similiar cases. They're contention was that he wasn't a pro. The evidence was presented and the NCAA disagreed. I do think its a bit odd after the NCAA statement about Euro teams intentionally moving kids up to the pro teams to kill their eligibility.

I am not talking about recently, I am talking about in the past. I just find it funny it seemed he would go out of his way to make sure he let people know that Kanter was going to be eligible to play. He was right on his report earlier about the practicing and what not. I have no idea who is contact is, I don't follow him or this mess that close anymore.

I hate it for him because from all I've seen he seems like a good kid and wanted to play here. Plus it doesn't seem like he did much different from any other European kid of his caliber.

November 12, 201015 yr How much was it then? I haven't seen but from what I've read it would be more than 33, because it was 33 over the allowable amount according the Herald website.
