November 10, 201015 yr Really? I just Googled a dozen stories/articles where people love their uni's. It's the freakin internet, you can find people that think cancer is great out there. You're right though, I don't get out much and get the chance to interract with a lot of people... :lol:http://www.cancerisgoodforyou.com/
November 10, 201015 yr That Nike, because of marketing, could sell millions and millions of pairs of those nasty-looking shoes just because Jordan's name is attached. Because you think they are "nasty-looking" doesn't mean everyone else does. I can't get over how 3/4 of the people on here think their opinion is the only one of any value.
November 10, 201015 yr Because you think they are "nasty-looking" doesn't mean everyone else does. I can't get over how 3/4 of the people on here think their opinion is the only one of any value. Because their opinion has been clouded by an inability to be critical of Michael Jordan. Just because a famous person endorses a product doesn't make it a quality product (whether from an aesthetic or practicality standpoint).

I can't like Nike products because i'm brainwashed. What was I thinking?
November 10, 201015 yr Author I think Oregon has just become a gimmick school, sort of like Boise. They do things that are really weird just so they can say they are leading the new era of sports. Blue fields, ugly courts, crazy jerseys.....No real big time school would do any of that I don't think. I like it but to me it seems like Oregon doesn't take themselves seriously, or don't think they can compete without being totally off the wall.

Now all they need to do is hire the Mad Hatter as coach and name the field after Ken Kesey.

Just because a famous person endorses a product doesn't make it a quality product (whether from an aesthetic or practicality standpoint). I agree that just because it says Jordan does not make it great. However, I will say that a Jordan shoe is the only one that consistently will survive an entire basketball season (games and practices) in my household.
November 10, 201015 yr I forgot, you are right and I am wrong. I can't like Nike products because i'm brainwashed. What was I thinking? Don't feel bad; you're not the only one. Two whole generations have been brainwashed on the Nike brand.
November 10, 201015 yr Don't feel bad; you're not the only one. Two whole generations have been brainwashed on the Nike brand. Just like the generation before me was brainwashed to wear shorts, black dress socks and loafers. Or the one's before them that wore 3 piece suits and hats to baseball games in the summer heat. I guess the entire world has been brainwashed to think something is "cool".
November 10, 201015 yr I can't get over how 3/4 of the people on here think their opinion is the only one of any value. You're right, that does seem to happen on here a lot. People stating their opinion as fact is one of my biggest pet peeves.
November 10, 201015 yr Here's all you need to know: If it's mainstream, Jim Schue hates it! If only Garth Brooks would open up the arena!
