Oregon's New Basketball Court..........

Featured Replies

You are the first person I've ever heard complain about their uniforms being "atrocious". Most love them.

Really, most people I know think Oregon has the ugliest uniforms in the country. I like the idea of the multiple uniforms, but I think pretty much all of Oregon's uniforms are horrible.

These are literally the first 3-4 people that I've EVER heard Oregon's uniforms are ugly. And I talk to a LOT of people about Oregon.

Same here, not only do I think they are ugly, most the people I know think the same thing!

Call me crazy, but I like Oregon's uniforms. However, I tend to go for a non-cookie cutter look when it comes to most things.

Nike's uniforms and shoes are a lot of things. The last of which is atrocious.

The Air Jordan line is one of the biggest snow jobs ever foisted upon the American public.

Not close. "Green" walks all over that and it's world wide.

Really? I just Googled a dozen stories/articles where people love their uni's. It's the freakin internet, you can find people that think cancer is great out there.

You're right though, I don't get out much and get the chance to interract with a lot of people...

Apparently not if you think you talk to a lot of people about Oregon, but have never heard anyone say they have ugly uniforms.

Their basketball court design, just as almost all of their football uniforms are as Jim Schue stated...atrocious. I get that they want to honor people with putting a name on the court, but why do they need three different symbols added in there to do so? Just put the person's name on there that way when the facility is being named, they get recognition every time after that.

As far as the football team's uniforms, some of their color schemes haven't been bad...well the main color of the uniforms, but the design on the shoulder pad of the duck wing needs to go as well as having gray numbers on ANY of the uniforms. Gray just doesn't need to be part of a uniform and you can hardly tell what number each person is when the gray numbers are being used. I'm more of a traditionalist and LOVE the white uniforms they had not too long ago...I think they could easily get by with white or green pants and a yellow, green or white helmet and jersey...more than that is overkill especially going BFBS (black for black sake as some schools have gone to recently).

That Nike, because of marketing, could sell millions and millions of pairs of those nasty-looking shoes just because Jordan's name is attached.

My point on the court was not so much the novelty or the esthetics of it as it was whether all the paint, etc. would detract from the ability of the players and officials to effectively compete and referee, respectively, thus lessening the competitive nature of the game itself. It's supposed to be a basketball game between two teams, not some Vegas show or a circus.
