Whether this is true or not, no one knows. I just find it crazy to think Cam Newton would tell a school he didn't choose that he didn't go there because they didn't pay enough. If he, or his father said that, then they set themselves up to get caught. If they did it, I don't understand telling, and they pretty much asked for any punishment they receive. If this story is untrue, well, its a shame because it will tarnish his amazing season. If for some reason this isn't true, Thamel needs to be disciplined for his inaccurate reporting. I have never bashed Thamel, because people do screw up, but if this is true then he has screwed up to many times in a short period of time. I really hope this is untrue though, as I like Newton much more than Thamel.

Nor am I. This has nothing to do with Newton, just the overall culture of collegiate athletics. Newton, Bush, and others we hear of are just scratching the surface of the overall epidemic.

A lot of rumors floating Cam Newton will be suspended today or tomorrow by the NCAA. For what it's worth I think it might have some legs vegas casinos have pulled the line on the Auburb/UGA game.

Report out of Dallas says yes, ^^^^ but I'd still wait until I see a source with some credit. There is some talk about some tapes the NCAA has with Cam and his Dad a preacher out of Atlanta.
