What is proper portocol regarding music on the PA system during a game? If you have forgotten, that is the thread title. All these complaints and accusations and threats, you would have thought you have spent many a times on that sideline in your days. LOL!!! Since you jacked the thread up, so will I.

 

For what it's worth, which is about a $1,000,000.00, man I got dizzy typing that, HHS and Ft. Thomas doesn't have the luxury of a generous donor to help update, what, 16+/- year old facilities to the tune of a $1,000,000.00 plus some change. LOL!!! Oh and heck yeah I'm jealous. What athletic program wouldn't love to have donations like that. Your football facilities are top notch. Enjoy the playoffs.:thumb:

 

And maybe the next time Ryle plays at DCM, they could at least tell us where they want to put their sideline restriction area for the fans. The painters masking tape was a little tacky....IMO!!!:lol:

 

I can't belive someone actually is trying to spin a thread back around on HHS's field..........again!!!! Cry me a river people!!! We lost a game the other night because we didn't execute, not because something that was playing on the intercom. Heck if that affected HHS the other night, I hate to see how we will react when we go to Johnsonville in a couple weeks providing we take care of business first...,

It would cost very little compared to what you are thinking to remove stands in the front to have room for the opposition during the game. It is simply not a priority.

Actually, I could see where those rules will change very soon. It is KHSAA rule that the team stay a distance from the sidelines that their stand space does not allow. It has been and is a liability. The fact of the matter is that sometimes somebody had to get hurt before liabilities are fixed. The old that's the way it has always been doesn't hold up in court.

I think the sound coming out of the PA at Highlands after a touchdown is distorted.. I understand they just got a new system, maybe they need to not put the microphone right against the speaker or something. I really miss the cannon. Long live the cannon.

It's HORRIBLE!!! I know the song they play after a TD isn't for old goats like us, but "style" aside, music should sound MUSICAL!!!! The distortion on Friday night was an embarrassment. It's like a set that some kid put together in his garage out of stuff he garbage-picked.

By the way us podunks at Raceland have one of the best sound systems that I have heard at a ball game.

It's just like "Hells Bells". Tired and overplayed. Personally I think the band should provide the music for a football game, but I'll concede to defeat on this. The problem is that everyone is thinking inside the same box. Gary Glitter started it all, and we know what happened to him. ;-)

I won't act like people treat the opposing team like crap from the Fort as Rob put it. However, it is tough to argue that you have problems with funds when you are taking charter buses to local games. I have a feeling that sideline issue could be fixed if it was deemed necessary.

 

Take out stands. You are simply not supplying your opposing team proper facilities at gametime. Do you know how much charter buses cost? If you use them every game, I guarantee you are overspending by 10-15 K a year.

Your opinion. Larger schools cant even comply with KHSAA rules due to a lack of space on the sidelines. I am sure that someday the liability issue will be recognized.

I agree with TDY on these comments. Why are you making such a big issue out of nothing? Ryle is moving in the right direction under Coach Warner. Why does there always have to be one bad apple in the bunch proclaiming that they speak for all. Look, Coach Warner has been nothing but 1st class with his comments regarding Dale and the Highlands program and yes that includes its facilitilites whether you or others like it or not. Pls do not suggest that this is the reason Ryle lost the first one at Highlands. If so, then thats too bad because the the true Highlands fans have plenty of respect for the Ryle program even before the second game even came about. Pls dont beat a dead horse that has been racing this way for probably more yrs than before you were ever born, Heck, they have been doing it this way for maybe even longer than TOG has been alive. LOL. I can also assure you that "Granddaddy" laws will prevail unless of course someone wants to flip the bill. Your comments on this issues is about as classless as it gets for a Ryle fan. Ryle has excellent families and educators in there system and I have lots of respect for all of them. This thread is sorry too imo. It has zero impact on the outcome of the game.

Let me get this straight, it is classless for someone to bring up safety issues at Highland's football stadium? Is that because they are questioning Highlands, or because safety issues don't exist? BTW, I don't see where any of these post suggested that this was the reason Ryle lost the first game.
