Let me get this straight, it is classless for someone to bring up safety issues at Highland's football stadium? Is that because they are questioning Highlands, or because safety issues don't exist? BTW, I don't see where any of these post suggested that this was the reason Ryle lost the first game.

Still not seeing what the "safety issues at Highland's football stadium" are ? Is it the shallow sideline ? The most dangerous thing at the stadium is the actual school. I believe the HHS JV quarterback has a mark on his helmet from skidding into the school last week, headfirst. Given the tone of this thread, maybe we should consider shutting down the Avenue of Champions and moving the school....this would get that much needed space on the visitor sideline. :lol:

As a spectator, I don't like music over the PA, period. I want to be able to discuss the game with those around me without having to shout and be able to hear their comments also. As I remember a couple of years ago the PA announcer, not the music, at Campbell County almost never shut up and it was a real pain.

I agree with you. I would rather there be no music and basic announcing. I hate the UK wanna be touchdooooowwwwwwwnnnnnnn ______, or 1st dooooooowwwwwwnnnnnnn_________. Just announce the game. If they spent more time finding how to pronounce names than on punctuating 1st downs and touchdowns, I would be very happy.

The issue could be easily solved by Dale and everybody knows how to do it but it will be a cold day in, before it ever happens.

 

Put HHS on the stands side and the visitors on the school side! I mean if all things are equal, then why not move HHS?

 

My guess is if that happened, you wouldn't see a single person walking behind the HHS bench during the game.

 

 

 

Please enlighten us on the process for Dale to easily solve this issue? Is it the same way that Coach Krumplebeck could solve the issue of the visitors dugout and bulpen at the Cov Cath baseball field? I'm not interested in hearing your "Highlands has been that way longer" argument either. Lets be objective here, please enlighten me on the difference between these two situations, I don't need a 2 paragraph long response, just something straight to the point. I have seen pitchers warm up in that bullpen and if they stride over 3 feet, there is a 3 inch legde onto concrete, furthermore the dugout has no fence in front of it and has room for about 10 kids to stand in (unprotected from foul balls off the bat of right handed batters). I guess it cost much more to build a new dugout, or add 2 wheel barrows full of dirt to a bullpen than it does to move an entire set of football bleachers sitting on pillars over a cliff. Good stuff from you as always.

Or they could just change dugouts, similar to HHS.

Can't, that would be too long before our time. Highlands started football in 1915 and baseball even later, long after 1011.

What about the 2 wheel barrow loads of dirt needed to repair the safety issue with the bullpen? Not enough money left over from the Schott building I guess.....
