You have to admit the atmosphere is good there. Not many places where you can drive right down to the endzone , grill and a have festive time.

 

15 is a good player but he drops a few ball now and again , thats my only complaint with him.

 

I think #4 is a good receiver and #3 is very underrated.

 

Hard for me to really commment on Beechwood having only seen the once on film. I do know they are very well coached and they will get maximum efffort from their players.

One would have to have lived in a cave somewhere not to consider Beechwood a state power in class A in any year. I don't know if they will win it all this season but I certainly would not count them out.

Personally I think Beechwood has the greatest Class A program of any team in state history. They have won all of their state titles in A. I know the other teams can't help it which Class they were in but that is my honest Opinion. This has nothing to do with me playing there in the early 90's when we won all of thos titles. Everyone knows how I love to speak my mind. HA HA

I don't think anyone could or would despute that Jason. Many here feel that had we been in A in the same period some of those would be in our trophy case but I don't think any of us would care to trade our time in AA for them. No denying though that Bw has set the bar for class A

I remember reading this on here last year when Beechwood lost to Highlands 48-20. Beechwood went on to get hammered by Mayfield in the state semis. I see a similar ending this year.

 

Beechwood is definitely better than last year.

I didn't think Mayfield would hammer Beechwood last year but they did and it could have been worse.

 

However, I don't see Mayfield doing the same as last year. I have seen some game tape on Beechwood and I believe it will be a hard fought contest, if they play.

Snake how good is Louisville Holy Cross? From what I have been told they have the biggest line in A. We know that doesn't matter when playing the good teams but I heard they are in the top 4.

Not good enough to beat Mayfield IMO. Compare the scores of each versus common opponent Paducah Tighlman.

It will be interesting to see if the long travel affects Mayfield. I think it played a role when Crittenden County came up north in 2008 and when Beechwood traveled to Mayfield last year.

The travel might hurt some. But they are experienced travelers. I bet that was Beechwoods 1st time to ever travel that distance while Mayfield has done it plenty of times. Mayfield traveled in 08 to LHC and beat them.

Shhhhh!!!! Dag gone it. Why are you starting this thread? Beechwood has been up here just minding our own business and working hard every day. Who cares about polls? Who cares about no recognition on here? Couldn't you just let us go on about our way and let everyone else glorify themselves? Remember everyone, even the guru says Beechwood is slipping. So pay no attention to this thread. Move on to better things. Didn't Mayfield beat the heck out of 3A team this week? Find that thread. Much more interesting and informative than this one.

Nice post, I'm proud of you :thumb: :lol:. I would have done the same thing if I were a Beechood fan .

Some Raceland fans (especially Ram and myself) remind our players all the time that "they are not all that" when everyone is picking them in any game or telling them how good they are. Reading ones own press clippings/post and putting yourself on cruise control looking ahead is a sure way of getting whipped.
