Last regular game of the season. What are your thoughts and predictioins for this game?

This looks like an interesting match up. X is seemingly a little "down" this year compared to their recent teams and the Colonels have turned a couple of heads in the past two weeks. Should be good hard fought preparation for the playoffs, just hope both teams come out healthy.

This should be a good game. Could go either way, but will take X by 7.

This is a tough one to size up. St. X. had a battle last week against a .500 PRP team. So now St. X. faces another .500 level team. CCH stepped it up versus Highlands but scratching out a win versus another .500 team that lost its top two QB's does not inspire a lot of confidence. In spite of St. X.'s "struggles" in several games this year, I am having a hard time seeing CCH hanging with them. I am going to go with St. X. 38 CCH 14.

I think this could be a close game, but I look to see Coach Wirth pull the starters quickly if things start going badly for the Colonels. I'd love to see a not-so-likely win for Cov Cath on senior day, but they need to have as many healthy starters as possible for the playoffs - especially since it looks quite possible that Cov Cath takes on Johnson Central at Johnson Central.

If it does, I guarantee you the Bluebird faithful will be rooting for the Blue Colonels (even if it is just to secure a home game rather than travelling to "Johnsonville" the FRI before Thanksgiving!!!).

This could end up being a good game but I think the kitty cats from the Ville will be a little too much for the Colonels.

This is an interesting matchup! I think it could be close through three quarters. The tigers pull it out in the end. If Covcath plays 9 in the box on defense they could have a chance. They will have to make adjustments to that scheme in the fourth quarter to pull of an upset. Not good enough! St. X 28 Covcath 21.

Anything for the Colonels looking forward is a statement .They seem to stay strong throughout and it showed in Highlands and Dixie meetings.I am giving the Blueboys by a last minute field goal.They need momentum at this point

I think the Colonels will squeak out a close victory on Saturday agasint Lou. St. X.

Wouldn't be shocked to hear about a Colonel victory. Wouldn't be schocked to hear about a Tiger victory.......By a lot. Not sure what to expect from these to films.

Any truth to the rumor that X QB Mattingly broke his ankle/leg this week and that RB McMurray will be at QB tomorrow?

CovCath Colonel Varsity Football vs. Louisville St. Xavier Tigers 1:00PM

Per the Cincinnati Enquirer link this game between CovCath and Louisville St. X means a whole lot more to the folks at Elder and Cin St. X.

 

Seems that:

 

Elder can make the playoffs only if both CovCath and St. Ed’s win, Shuck said; in that case, Elder would be in and St. Xavier would not.

 

 

Maybe just maybe we might have some Elder and Cincinnati St. X fans attending our game or at least listening to this game today!

 

Funny how us poor folks in Kentucky, the ones that the Ohio football fans tend to look down upon, all of a sudden are so important to some of them!

I believe that Cov Cath may be able to win this one. I wouldn't be shcoked which ever way it goes, I look for a close game today.
