October 18, 201015 yr This is not entirely related to Boise State, but something else incredibly stupid about college football/BCS is that it's not just about losing one game, but about when you lose that game. Say Oklahoma runs the table, but then gets beat in the Big 12 title game. Then say Alabama wins out. Alabama would get the higher placement/ranking, simply because they lost earlier as opposed to later. College football, as wonderful and exciting a sport as it is, possesses the most laughable post-season determination system.

NU was offering a 2-for-1 and offering about $750k. So the "anytime anywhere" was missing a "for $1M."
October 19, 201015 yr You obviously don't follow college football....South Carolina is one of the better teams in the SEC this season. Comparing them to Toledo is a joke. SC would beat Toledo by 3-4 TDs. SC lost to Kentucky-a perennial .500 team.

Sure Arkansas is a good team, but they have lost a couple in the the conference. Stick a fork in them. Florida shouldn't be in the top 40 anymore. Vandy-weak. UK-mediocre. Tennessee-not very good. I like LSU, but let's face it they have been lucky. Auburn looks good. Old Miss-c'mon. Georgia is a joke.

The SEC fans seem to think three loss teams from their conference should still be alive. Boise State is unbeaten, and 2 and a half years ago beat the newly appointed #1 team Oklahoma in a bowl game. Who is so tough that Oklahoma plays, UC?

Fact is, a 1 loss (note 1, 2 less than 3) team from any of the big 2 conferences (SEC and Big 12) would have a much better resume for playing for the National Title.
