October 19, 201015 yr Just got done looking at both TCU and Boise's schedules for this season....I must say, I think if both are undefeated at year's end, TCU has the better complaint about being left out of the title game.

Also consider this, though ... if Boise State played in the SEC or the Pac-10, they would probably put more talent on the field on the basis of conference affiliation helping their recruiting. I would love there to be a playoff. Boise would hate it. I said the same thing about UC last year. UC went unbeaten and didn't get to play for the title, but their best chance at ever winning a National title was last year if Nebraska would have beaten Texas. Sure they probably would have got drilled by Bama, but they would have had to win one game. If they have to win an 8 team playoff it isn't happening.
October 19, 201015 yr :thumb: Va Tech is bad this year, Oregon State is average, Nevada is a nice little team. Outside of those 3 games, a team like Vandy would win every other game on that schedule and be favored in doing so... Virginia Tech isn't bad ... they are ranked in the BCS top 25. Oregon State has beaten one team in the BCS rankings. At least give Boise some credit. I'm not saying they're the best team in the country, but I think they're a legitimate top-10 team,. and that puts them in the conversation.

I said Butler was in the national championship game and UK with all their first round draft picks were not. That has nothing to do with conferences. Conferences do not play games. Individual teams do.

They were probably ranked #1 because they were the defending champs and brought a ton back. Has nothing to do with how they'll end up doing this year. They're predictions. Bama is still 10x the team Boise is though. All you have to do is watch both teams play to figure that out.

October 19, 201015 yr Oh yeah they played last year and Boise won that too. Yes, and TCU beat them in a tight bowl game the previous year. I'm not sure what you're getting at, but that's my point. If they're the only two remaining unbeaten teams and only one of them gets in the big game, somebody has a major beef, IMO. They've split two close bowl games in two seasons, so they've proven to be evenly matched in the past. How could you pick one over the other? Neither plays a tough schedule and both teams generally win in impressive fashion. Both would have wins over Oregon State.

They don't matter...Not sure why you aren't comprehending that. What does what Boise did last year have to do with anything at all that happens this year? Please, give me something that it effects, besides meaningless preseason rankings. Once again how much Boise would beat SC by is irrelevant, and it wouldn't be 2 TDs I can promise you that. SC would be far and away the best team Boise would play. SC is the 4th or 5th best team Bama plays. Are you starting to see why a 1-loss Bama is more deserving than a undefeated Boise yet? It's not rocket science, it's actually pretty darn simplistic.
