HHS by a bunch. Just too talented for this years Cov Cath team.

The better question would be if the Blue Colonels can stay within 30?

What is the running clock rule? 40 point lead? Can they run it in the 1st quarter? If so, has it ever happened?

Highlands wins this one and wins big.

Covcath simply doesn't have the speed or overall athleticism to stick with this years' version of the Birds.

Don't be surprised to see Highlands put up a 50 spot. I'll go with the following though:

Birds: 45

Colonels: 10

35 pt lead once the 2nd half starts

Might not be as lopsided as being predicted. Birds coming off a bye week and reading all the "press" about them being better than sliced bread just may lead itself into a "flat" presentation. The team from Park Hills may play above itself in this one. I look for the Birds to win handily, BUT it may not be the beating of the past couple years.

This is always an emotional game and the Birds will come prepard - but the Colonels I am sure have had this game circled on their calendar and will be ready to go. I think it will be closer than most on here are predicting.

As a 100% outsider, I always saw this as one of the top rivalries in the state. But it seems to have become very lopsided in the past 5 years or so. Highlands by a lot.

I am with you UCRN. The Blueboys wont just come to Ft Thomas and lay down, just not their style. However, I dont agree with being "flat", Sr nite, biggest rival, big crowd, game of the wk, Dale "will not" let the Birds be flat, Just not his style. Lopsided? Could be, maybe in the end, but the Blueboys will play with the Birds for a few quarters and make this a game for the half. CovCath has been told a few times before that they couldnt beat Highlands and responded with Wins. I do know this though, this wont be a "pillow fight" as the Birds D will be swarming and hitting and CovCath has a few hitters as well. When the Birds swarm though, they create turnovers which Mr Towles and company take advantage of in a big way. After last game against Dixie, the Birds have also added "special team" scores to its offense as well, which could play a role in this one. GO BIRDS 20n10
