Cubster
I have just been making good-natured jabs not to hurt anyone. Frances and I have had a good PM about it. I hope some know I am just pulling some chains. Ashland had a great team and I do believe the Rock must be really good to have won in the fashion that they did at Putnam. I expect some jabs my way in the future in BGP and will laugh them off as just good-natured fun.
Play 2 Win
Besides, we all know how you Raceland guys are when it comes to Ashland.
Pirate Pal
I was just wondering if Newport's field is still down by the river and under the overpass? If I'm thinking correctly, Belfry played there in the 1986 3A playoffs and it was snowing and cold!!!!
NPT Buckeye
I'm pretty sure that Newport's field has been in the same place since 86 and well before it... As for the game.... Newport 28 Russell

OldVeteran
Yea i think we threw 3 times and 2 TDS, not a bad ratio for the night. AND yea I will say it, I heard that the crew was from Pikeville tonight. I think Russell will go all the way. By the way, what does the crew being from Pikeville have anythinh to do with it??? Lineman_65
Russell's Head Coach McGlone will get his 250th victory at Russell, but it won't be this season. Sorry Russell fans, but I call Newport in a shootout. It's gonna take an awful lot to shut down Hesch and Glenn. Newport - 42 Russell -

Sorry Russell fans, but I call Newport in a shootout. It's gonna take an awful lot to shut down Hesch and Glenn. Newport - 42 Russell - 35 Should be a good game. Although I see Russell winning this one. Just looking at some scores from earlier games. Fleming lost to Newport by just 1 and only beat Mercer by 6-8. On paper I give Russell the edge. But for what it's worth. No one on here really knows who's going to win. That's why the boys play the games on Friday nights. We just hang around here and make our predictions. But I like rootin for the underdog.

bball500
I have seen both play and if both teams play their best I believe Russell runs away with it. They hit harder and are much, much stronger defensively. Newport's home field advantage is valuable but not enough. Best of luck to both teams.
