Moss to Vikings?

Featured Replies

It's been pretty obvious that there's some problems with Moss and the Pats this year. He spoke out earlier. He doesn't catch a ball last night. I'll be honest I thought Favre would be lucky to get through this year. If they get Moss + Rice coming back in a few weeks to go along with Shank,All Day and Harvin then it will be a blast to watch. The Saints aren't playing like they were last year. I still think Dallas is going to turn it on and the Packers will be right there too.

Teammate always trumps cancer. If you have a guy on your team that doesn't want to be there, you have to cut him loose regardless of talent. No ONE is ever bigger than the team. I am sure Tom Brady had a say in this decision.

Do you think last night was the Patriots' way of seeing how things would be without Moss? Sure, he commanded the top corner which would go on someone else, but no catches and an easy win? May have proven something.

They were able to win many games without star Wrs for a bunch of seasons so I can see where extra draft picks may entice them. It's obvious Moss is unhappy and the Pats have always been about the team and not individuals. As far as fantasy is concerned I don't think it's a total downgrade for Moss owners if he's moved but the Vikes are a run first team while the Pats throw it all over the gridiron.

Obviously it depends on what they're getting in return but I don't think that this would be all that bad for the Pats.

I'd tend to agree, Moss is a baby when he doesn't get his way. Only 9 catches this year? Something isn't right.

Schefter seems to think it will happen tomorrow morning.

Not sure if this will kill my fantasy team or not....I don't know if Favre will be able to get him the ball as often.

The Patriots haven't been throwing Randy the ball all year. He has single digit targets in every game and he only got 1 pass thrown to him on Monday. They have been phasing him out of the offense since week 1. Moss in Minnesota will be great for him and Favre. Yeah the Pats have won with mediocre receivers before but they will be a whole new team without Moss on the field. Brady didn't look all that great on Monday with Moss on the field(153 yards, 1 td). Defense and special teams won that game. We'll see what happens.

Typical Patriot move. Everyone praises how the Pats are a team first organization and no one is bigger than the team and they dump vets that can still produce for draft picks yet they haven't won a Super Bowl since when? I am not drinking the Pats kool aid anymore. Plus they can't beat the Jets anyways. Free Randy is what I say.

I think its a bad move for the Patriots, great move for the Vikings, and a great move for Moss.

Let's talk fantasy implications...does this help Moss owners?

All I want to know is can they get it done today so Farve's numbers can go up this week? I really need the Farve of last year so I can have a chance this week.

The Patriots are in a small Catch-22. Keep Moss, go for the SB, then let him walk away and get nothing. Trade Moss, struggle for a chance at the SB and get some extra draft picks. They're not going to Tag Moss, to much money. If they were going to give him that kind of money, they would've already signed him to an extension.

I'm torn from a fantasy perspective(sort of). BGP - I have Farve and he needs help. My other league, I have Brady AND Farve. Brady takes a hit if he loses Moss.

Hello Vincent Jackson,...this is Bill Belechick. How would you feel about playing for the Patriots?

While very true, it doesn't matter if they throw it all over the gridion, if they aren't throwing it to Moss. I think he will get more targets over in Minnesota. At least I'm hoping. A small positive for fantasy owners, this would have been Moss' by week but with this trade, he won't have one all year.

True, but anything he throws to Moss is going to cancel out because you'd be playing against him this week Spice lol. So, I hope Farve puts up huge number to Moss this week, say three TD's at least. 18 points for me, 12 for you lol.

Heard on the radio this morning...

Sounds like a 3rd Round draft pick.

I just picked up Brandon Tate as well in my other fantasy league. Not sure if I will really use him much, but we'll see.
