October 3, 201015 yr Is it not a penalty in college football to take your helmet off and throw it to the ground? Did anyone see the LSU player do that when he thought the game was over and they'd lost? I personally think if UT gets the penalty, LSU should have as well. BTW, how great would it have been had LSU scored on the play with 13 men? At that point there was no time on the clock and the game was over. I don't see how you can flag that. If so UT would have had to have been flagged for excessive celebration and both teams would have had to have been flagged for sideline violations etc.
October 3, 201015 yr Amazing, Les Miles is so incompetent a game manager that he managed to confuse Tennessee enough to have 13 players on the field. No one can understand what he is doing at the end of games.

October 3, 201015 yr I really felt like Tenn would win this game. I can't believe the way it ended. What a tough tough way to loose! Miles made a huge blunder and Dooley made a bigger one. SEC is down some IMO. LSU, Geo, Fla aren't nearly as good as they have been. Bama is the real deal. I think Auburn has gotten better.
October 3, 201015 yr But the game wasn't over..... Then UT gets a flag for their coach and bench running onto the field. Every thought the game was over.
October 3, 201015 yr But the game wasn't over..... Like I said then Tennessee has to be flagged for excessive celebration and both teams have to be flagged for sideline infractions. The ball was snapped with 2 seconds on the clock by the time the LSU player took off his helmet the play was over. The officials on the field considered the game over, they were buzzed by the officials upstairs to review the amount of players on the field. The officials aren't going to call a penalty like that when they had blown the play dead and considered the game over. By your logic they should have went back and reviewed Dooley throwing his headset and flagged him for that after the pass interference call.

Part of me was serious, part of me was joking, but all of me wishes I hadn't started!
October 3, 201015 yr IN a nutshell: Tn had 13 players on the field when the ball was snapped past the LSU QB. Play a new down. LSU runs off left tackle and puts in for the TD and the win. I think LSU had 12 men on the field and UT had 13. This one will be analyzed for days to come! Wow!!!!
October 3, 201015 yr Great ending to the game. We watched the 4th quarter and I really thought Tennessee was going to pull it off. I felt AWFUL for UT's Coach even though I don't care for the program.

October 3, 201015 yr That was the craziest end of the game I've ever seen. I almost left the house with 5 minutes left in the game, but I had a feeling there was going to be something good at the end of the game. If I'm LSU, I find a way to fire Les Miles...this season. Sure the man won a title, but he lives on luck way, way too much. I just can't believe that a coach could be that bad at managing a game and still win alot in the SEC. They're lucky they out talent most teams IMO. But, how about Jarrett Lee? Two years ago the guy only threw picks, and LSU fans hated him. Now he's the fan favorite and he put together a huge final drive to make the Baton Rouge Debacle possible. Agree 100%. What was it, two years ago that he nearly gave a game to Auburn because of poor clock management at the end of the game? I think his days are numbered in Baton Rouge. If Tennessee hadn't out-mismanaged him in this game he would have probably been fired before the next game.
October 3, 201015 yr Never saw anything about LSU having 12 on the field. However, did read where Tennessee had 10 men on the field on consecutive plays in overtime last week against UAB. Maybe they were trying to even things out this week.
October 3, 201015 yr Poor Coaching on Miles part in the end. LSU should habve spiked the football and pl;ayed 4th down/ LSU should have got beat.
