October 2, 201015 yr I turned the channel to a baseball game when Tennessee won. Now you're telling me that LSU won. What on earth happened? IN a nutshell: Tn had 13 players on the field when the ball was snapped past the LSU QB. Play a new down. LSU runs off left tackle and puts in for the TD and the win.
October 2, 201015 yr I turned the channel to a baseball game when Tennessee won. Now you're telling me that LSU won. What on earth happened? You missed it then man. The replay official called down to say that there were 12 men on the field (there were really 13 men for UT), and it gave LSU the ball on the 1/2 yard line.
October 2, 201015 yr Wow, totally left the room when I thought LSU lost. Les Miles is still the most overrated coach in the country.

Tennesse had 13 players and it took LSU...20 something seconds to run a play and they couldn't get set up. What a mess !
October 2, 201015 yr Wow, totally left the room when I thought LSU lost. Les Miles is still the most overrated coach in the country. I want to agree, but I just can't think of anyone who overrates Miles. I think most people, other than himself, are pretty aware of his "abilities". I'd love to see what a good coach could do with their talent and athleticism. If I'm them I'm going after Jim Harbaugh and he turns it down, then Muschamp, followed by Kirby Smart this off-season. If I could get McElwain and Smart (Harbaugh may get a better job) together, I'd probably go that route over Muschamp.
October 2, 201015 yr I didn't realize you could check replay to see if there were 12 men on the field. Was a flag even thrown on the last play? I think the rule is that you can't check if there's 12 on the filed but you can if there are 13. Miles lucky, Dooley unlucky.

LSU is still one of the top jobs in the country and he still there. I know winning the NC is probably why but man he's awlful.

October 3, 201015 yr Loved it...what an ending. UT didn't deserve win last week...didn't deserve loss this week. But there was a bakers dozen on the field for the Vols....glad the refs got it right, even if LSU tried their best to lose the game.
October 3, 201015 yr If you're Tennessee, what's worse? 13 players on the field that gives LSU another chance to score or LSU scoring with 13 defenders on the field?
October 3, 201015 yr If you're Tennessee, what's worse? 13 players on the field that gives LSU another chance to score or LSU scoring with 13 defenders on the field? Is that like "How many licks does it take to get to the center of Tootsie Roll Tootsie Pop?"
October 3, 201015 yr Is it not a penalty in college football to take your helmet off and throw it to the ground? Did anyone see the LSU player do that when he thought the game was over and they'd lost? I personally think if UT gets the penalty, LSU should have as well. BTW, how great would it have been had LSU scored on the play with 13 men?
