So much for that "challenge". I have been saying it all year and I will say it again - Highlands' program right now is on a different level than almost every program in the state. Congrats to the Bluebirds on working hard and getting even better each week.

Looks like the Birds are getting it figured out on both sides of the ball. After the Withrow "hiccup" these guys are rolling.

I think after this game we can all make it official that Highlands isn't as "down" compared to recent teams, as some would like to think.

If Trinity beats Eastern 63-0 does that mean BG can challenge or possibly (gasp) win the 5A title?

Did the "running clock" come into play? If so....when did that happen in the game. I assume the starters were out sometime in the 3rd.

I said Eastern was on Manual's level and the score showed proof. This Bluebird team is for real but Ryle still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. With Ryle II they should atone for their mistakes and it will give us an adequate measure for how strong they'll be headed into the playoffs.

If BG keeps playing well, they will get their chance to prove themselves. Why worry about it now?
