September 22, 201015 yr Brewers get one run in that inning without the errors. The leadoff man got on hitting a pretty good pitch. Cordero finally pitches inside and hits Braun. I didn't see what kind of a pitch it was on the play Bruce made 2 errors. Cordero's pitches looked pretty solid, all things considered. I was glad to see him challenge hitters for a change. He was coming inside on batters tonight. Too often he has tried to pitch away, away, away and gotten burnt when they took it the other way.
September 22, 201015 yr I'll be really surprised if we see Edmonds playing again this season, or in his career, to be honest.
September 22, 201015 yr Dusty does deserve some credit, but wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he ended up back on the West Coast next year.
September 22, 201015 yr I'll be really surprised if we see Edmonds playing again this season, or in his career, to be honest. Don't think he'll make the 25 man playoff roster? I'm not saying he will, but was wondering.
September 22, 201015 yr Does Dusty make all the right decisions, absolutely not. However, there's something to say about having a team that is willing to play for you. No one can dispute that he has this team believing in each other and themselves. If you have a manager that starts bailing on guys as soon as things don't go their way, which most of you want to do, they'll play cautiously and make more mistakes. They have confidence that he'll let them play through some things and be better for it. To me, that's managing. A lot of the other stuff just depends on what type of guy you are. Go solely by the numbers, use your gut, or mix it up. Dusty seems to be a numbers guy. As for Cordero, I'm not sure what you do. He has shown the ability to get batters out just not as frequent recently. Chapman is simply not the answer because of his control problems. Also, I'm not sure you can or want to rely on him 3 days in a row because of arm strength/potential problems.
September 22, 201015 yr Don't think he'll make the 25 man playoff roster? I'm not saying he will, but was wondering. If he's healthy he'll be on the playoff roster for sure. Edmonds thinks he tore his Achilles last night.
September 22, 201015 yr If he's healthy he'll be on the playoff roster for sure. Edmonds thinks he tore his Achilles last night. If so you are probably correct, career over... Always liked Edmonds, except when he was in St Louis.
September 22, 201015 yr Edmonds said that, initially, he thought he tore it. Since he was able to finish rounding the bases, it's unlikely that he tore it. I hope he can come back from this. Even as a pinch hitter, Edmonds has significant value to this team.
September 22, 201015 yr You know your old when you hit a home run and cant even trot around the bases without getting hurt.

Hopefully it's not serious, because he's a huge part of the team. But I wouldn't bet on it.

September 22, 201015 yr I wasn't on here last night during the game, but I thought for sure I'd see a number of remarks about Chris Welsh's "Bushwhacker" comment.
September 22, 201015 yr Achilles not that way. Either way, if he heard a 'pop' and its his Achilles he's likely out for the year. Even a sprain of it would do it.
September 22, 201015 yr I sure hope not. But here's the thing. Would we all be hoping he makes the post season roster had he hurt his "ankle" on a swing that resulted in a week popup to first instead of a dong?
