September 19, 201016 yr It looks like the magic number will remain at 8 as the Reds begin the new week. They'll have the Brewers for 3, followed by the Padres for 3 to end the last roadtrip of the year. The Cardinals will play at Florida for one game at Pittsburgh for 3, and at Chicago for 3.
September 19, 201016 yr Author It's official, the Cardinals beat the Padres 4-1. The Reds didn't go down without a fight in the bottom of the 9th. Phillips and Rolen both singled with 2 outs, but Brandon Lyon got Votto on a soft flair to the shortstop to end the game.
