Conner 36 Lloyd 0

Featured Replies

Conner stands at 3 and 0 heading into Dixie.

I think Conner will be 3 and 1 after next week.

Congrats to my guy Drew Barker for his first varsity TD on a 50 yd scamper.

Lloyd please re-examine the schedule.

Or the program.

Nice start to the season for the Cougars. Next week will be a true test.

Lloyd was only down 9-0 at the half and played as hard as they could with 24 dressed players... I think we will see what Lloyd has to offer when we play teams our size.

With the tradition Lloyd has had, that just seems impossible.

Always good to see Coach T and his boys get a W.

The last five or six years Lloyd has been down but to say its impossible I feel your wrong! (but thats my oponion) I've Been involved and apart of this program since the early 80's and Lloyd was always competitve and will get back to that. Please do not take this quote as being negative towards your quote. I just want to see what plays out.

He was saying it seems impossible for a program like Lloyd to only have 24 players, and I fully agree...

i agree. Why so few? With the lions program so strong it is hard to believe. How many seniors this year? What can be done to change this? Last years senior class lost half of the kids from their freshmen team that went 9-1 before their senior year.

Kudos to Conner's defense in this game! They played very well. Let's hope Conner's offense can step it up next week. They played a much better second half, but in a closer game, you can't give away the first half opportunities and hope to make up for it in the next half! Need less penalties too!

Conner is going to have a LONG year in 6A. They had trouble running the ball against a Lloyd team that is down in numbers and typically struggles against the run. 9-0 at the half and the lone TD came on a deflected pass. Juggs just wore out in the 2nd half. Conner has a decent passing game, but without the run....... it gonna be a tough year....

It looks like they ran it pretty well against Lloyd: 227 total.

48 Eric Sowder 5 25 0

12 Cy Smith 17 138 1

32 Michael Mueller 1 4 0

44 Blake Kennedy 6 13 0

22 Camron Fogle 2 1 1

14 Drew Barker 3 48 1

Like BB said, all that came in the second half when Lloyd got wore down because they play defense 95% of the game. When the offense starts moving this Lloyd team will be OK.
