August 25, 201016 yr Who is to blame? Whoever is making the decision to leave Chapman in Louisville gets partial credit.
August 25, 201016 yr I'm surprised the Giants haven't had anyone injured from fighting to get to the bat rack.
August 25, 201016 yr Author I tell you what you really have to hand it to ole Dusty. He is the only manager I now that is smart enough to play for extra innings when leading 10-5 in the 7th inning. He was smart enough to let Leake pinch hit in the top of the 7th with 2 outs and a runner on 2nd base. Dusty knew an extra run there could have really spelled doom for the Giants, and he didn't want to waste the bats he had on the bench in Bruce, Cairo, Nix or Hernandez. Dusty knew he could afford to run Ondrusek out for the 8th inning even though Ondrusek had thrown 28 pitches on Monday when he was roughed up by the Giants. Dusty knew he had to save his 2 best relief pitchers in Masset and Rhodes for extra innings. Great job Dusty. You have proved yourself worthy once again. :notworthy::notworthy: Defend away folks.
August 25, 201016 yr Author 9 unanswered runs. No way that's on Dusty. Goodness, he put the most dependable guy in baseabll on the mound to give up three. Totally disagree. No way Ondrusek should have seen the 8th inning.
August 25, 201016 yr Anyone feel good about how this one plays out? We come back and win. Later this evening McCutchen mows down Westbrook and bada bing....add a full game to the lead.
August 25, 201016 yr I tried to tell you guys. The Reds will never recover from this. They are done. Bring on the Bengals.
August 25, 201016 yr Author We come back and win. Later this evening McCutchen mows down Westbrook and bada bing....add a full game to the lead. This will be the toughest of all to recover from if they lose this one.
August 25, 201016 yr Totally disagree. No way Ondrusek should have seen the 8th inning. Totally agree. Also should Masset not have pitched while they had the lead?
August 25, 201016 yr Whoever is making the decision to leave Chapman in Louisville gets partial credit. Agreed. He should have been in San Francisco at some point.
August 25, 201016 yr Totally disagree. No way Ondrusek should have seen the 8th inning. Absolutely agree. Dusty has proven his detractors correct again, IMO. How many would the Giants have scored off Massett in the 8th? I hope to hell the son of a buck turns down that extension offer.
August 25, 201016 yr Author Way to bunt the runner over there Dusty. I'm sure you thought the Bruce vs. Zito matchup was in Bruce's favor.
