Pet Peeves

Featured Replies

I've got a few pet peeves I need to get off my chest regarding my fellow drivers.

Those of you that like to blast filthy rap lyrics from your car, have a heart and turn it down. Most of us who are a captive audience at stop lights really don't want to hear that stuff.

If you are going to cut me off while changing lanes, at least use your turn signal.

What's with some drivers that need to veer in the opposite direction to make turns (i.e. veering left to make right turns and vice versa), especially when not using turn signals. It gets a little confusing for those of us behind you.

How about backing out of that parking space BEFORE getting on the cell phone?

There, I feel a little better.

People who get in the left lane and drive the same speed as the person in the right lane, ESPECIALLY when it's under the speed limit.

People that go 35mph down the ramp to merge into 70mph traffic.

All of the above.

Absostinkinlutely!!!!!!!!

I don't know what's worse--when they do that or, when on a two-lane highway/road, they pull out in front of you and proceed to drive 10 MPH under the speed limit. Make me want to do some bump-drafting.

That's mine too. Frankly, I'll either go around them on the ramp or leave the ramp and merge myself considerably earlier to avoid being run over. I know, that probably makes me the pet peeve of someone else.:jump:

I hate following a semi as it merge onto the interstate. I know that the driver really can't help it, but it is frustrating and can be dangerous when people don't get out of the right lane to let traffice merge.

Pulling out in front of me and then going way below the speed limit.

I've got a solution for all of you. Ride a bus. :D

What if buses are your pet peeve? lol

Well, then you'll appreciate driving. :D

Where do I start with this one....

A semi taking 10 miles to pass another semi on the interstate

Merging into my lane in front of me to only go 10 mph slower then me...really, you couldn't wait 2 seconds for me to pass

driving 5 mph slower then everyone else on the road while yapping on your cell phone

Pulling out in front of me like your off to put out a fire then driving 2 mph

merging in front me when there is barely a car length between me and the car in front of me

coming up to a stop light on a 4 lane (or more) and having a car merge over in front of me so they can be the first one at the light, then they are the slowest one off the line

Sitting at a stop light in the left lane (with no turn lane) and the car in front of me waits until the light turns green to turn on their left turn signal

On the occasion that I do use my turn signal to let someone know I am merging in front of them and they speed up so I can't come over

Cell phones in general

I think it should be law that I get to carry a bazooka with me while driving.

In heavy traffic you put on your turn signal to change lanes and the person will not let you in. They may even creep up tighter to make sure you don't get in. Usually if they won't create space for me, I just start sliding over into the lane anyway. Then the person I moved in front of gets hacked off like I cut him off. Hey, if I have my turn signal on, be courteous and let me over. One more car in heavy traffic makes zero difference.
