July 31, 201016 yr The union has approved the trade, tweets Krasovic. The Padres get Ludwick, the Cardinals get Westbrook, and the Padres give up two prospects. Bob Nightengale of USA Today says the deal is official. That according to the MLB Trade Rumor site. White Sox asked about Manny along with a few other teams. Wouldn't be shocked to see Manny moved today.

Apparently they made it clear to several clubs that they would entertain trading Dunn if one of the teams could get the pitcher from AZ that the Sox ended up getting. When the Sox called the GM said something like "ahh, never mind for now."

They don't even go after guys where they have to give up good prospects now b/c they'll just sign them in the offseason. They already made it clear they're signing Cliff Lee. Baseball can claim parody all they want, but the difference between the have and have nots is way too large.
