I really wish they would go out and get someone in the outfield but it's not going to happen. So yes the wildcard is going to be tougher because all the other teams in the hunt are going out and upgrading their roster and the Reds aren't. Walt has stated that the Reds are staying pat.

How are you so sure they haven't inquired? The asking price for everybody is high this year and the Reds shouldn't trade away their entire farm for a rental player.
July 29, 201016 yr I don't consider a AAA catcher and a guy that has been in A ball for 3 years a hefty price tag. I don't know the specific players or if they were good prospects but it didn't sound like it to me. But maybe Dickerson can come up and make contact. Let's hope so.

Well Stubbs needs time off to try and straighten things out. Dickerson needs to be brought up soon to start against the right handed pitchers for sure.

If this trade goes through then the Braves have to get some kind of offensive help and maybe a cheap reliever or starter. I would like to see them make a blockbuster for Bautista and Downs but I doubt it happens. Willingham is another good player who could help down the stretch. Hopefully something works out.

July 29, 201016 yr Author Doubtful Well the other day he said he didn't want to play for the Phillies BUT Jason Bay also said he didn't want to play for the Mets and we see how that turned out.
