September 30, 201015 yr Never seen Wall Street but I am watching it tonight followed by getting to see a special screening of the new Wall Street tomorrow morning. I was VERY disappointed in the new one, "Money Never Sleeps". It just seemed like a news report of the financial crisis from 2008. Had no bite. I kept waiting for the movie to get rolling, but it never did. I give it a 2 out of 5 stars.

October 1, 201015 yr Recently saw "The Town". Highly suggest that movie. Ben Afflecks best movie by far!!!! I also liked The Town, it was a modern version of Public Enemies.
October 4, 201015 yr Just finished watching "The Good Heart", a wonderful Indie comedy/drama. Dark, quirky and emotional flick about an old stubborn bar owner whose health is failing who meets a homeless kid and takes him under his wing. Very, very good movie in so many ways.

I watched that a few weeks back as well. I thought it was pretty decent.

December 27, 201015 yr I saw that this past weekend. It was very good :thumb: ...although it seemed an awful lot like Heat meets The Departed. I agree, but it made me disappointed with the ending, perhaps it was the Departed feel, which I think is more of a Boston thing. Having recently visited Boston for the first time I can't help but fall in love with that city more and more.
December 27, 201015 yr Author I watched "Restrepo" over the weekend. It's a documentary on a 173rd Airborne infantry platoon during their tour in the Korengal Valley in Afghanistan. Korengal stands, at current, as the most dangerous hostile zone in the world. It was an EXCELLENT documentary. There was no editorializing whatsoever on part of the filmmakers - just video footage of the soldiers' experience, and then interview footage of the soldiers speaking on their own behalf. Here's a to the trailer. (Warning: It's a war documentary. They are mindful of tastefully editing out gore, but the soldiers' language is all there.)

December 28, 201015 yr Author I watched "The Invention of Lying" last week. Funny and clever movie. Yeah, I saw that a while back and was pleasantly surprised.
