May 21, 201016 yr I'm still in shock. I certainly hope the Reds don't let this loss get them down, and go into Cleveland and get swept. We'll see what this team is made of the next three days. I have to agree with this post. I followed the game but didn't get to watch the last few innings. I'm rather stunned at the last inning for the Braves, but it's only one game, I just hope it doesn't derail the Reds' hot streak. I'm bracing for the "Battle of Ohio". May small ball prevail.
May 21, 201016 yr The Tribe are a lil banged up, Reds have no excuses this weekend. Take care of business.
May 21, 201016 yr Is Owings a better hitter than Leake? Why would he hit for a guy w/ two hits and not pitch? If anyone thinks this isn't Dusty's fault they don't pay attention.

May 21, 201016 yr Could be a season-changer... No other comments. This cound be very true and now we face Westbrook tonight who can shut down any team.
May 21, 201016 yr Owings is a better hitter than a lot of position players in MLB. Leake had two hits and is hitting above .350 this year.
May 21, 201016 yr Leake had two hits and is hitting above .350 this year. Right, but that's been a pleasant surprise, and I don't really anticipate that to continue. Owings, on the other hand, is a proven commodity with the stick, to the point that there has been talk of turning him into a position player in order to get his bat in the lineup more often.
May 21, 201016 yr Was it 3 years ago that St. Louis made that big comeback on us at GABP. If I remember correctly the Reds never recovered from that loss. I think we are better suited to not let this one affect us in that way. Dang....that was a hard won to lose.

Last season I believe the Reds were within a game or two of the Cards, when Pujols won a game with a salami. It marked the beginning of the end for the Reds
May 21, 201016 yr It's disappointing how many Reds fans think the sky is falling and are going to use this game as an excuse for every loss over the next few weeks...
May 21, 201016 yr It's also disappointing how many Reds fans will pin the blame of every single loss on Dusty...The way some people act in here, if they had a different manager, they'd have a perfect record thus far.
May 21, 201016 yr It's disappointing how many Reds fans think the sky is falling and are going to use this game as an excuse for every loss over the next few weeks... I agree. It was one loss. I was very dissapointed in the loss but in the long run it was only one loss.

I think Dusty is a great manager. I only wish he would have stuck with Rhodes yesterday because Coco has been a little shaky at best as of late and Rhodes has been locked in. Can't hang all of the losses on the manager. I am more dissapointed in Cordero and Nix for this loss.
