Track the Reds (Week 7)

Featured Replies

Now the Reds become the hunted after a solid weekend series against the Cards.

Reds have the Brewers at GABP for 2 and then are off to Atlanta for 2 and at Cleveland for a weekend series.

1st time since 7.31.09 that the Cards have not been in first place in the Central.

There's a new sheriff in town... :ylsuper:

It would be huge for the Redlegs if they could cap off this weekend with two more wins on Monday and Tuesday. I'm debating on going to the ballpark tomorrow, but the weather might keep me away.

I'd like to get up soon and catch a game. Had plans to go this weekend and would of loved to but stuff came up.

They are really good at going first to third. Big stretch coming up against some teams w/ losing records. A 5-2 week would be really nice.

It's what you do after a big series like they had this weekend with the Cards. We found out the Reds are here to play. Hopefully they keep it that way this week. 5-2 would be good.

Homeless Camel has been on fire, let's make sure we ride his streak until it plays out. I officially boycott anyone else starting the Reds weekly thread, namely Jim Schue and LRCW.

Like I haven't already started that after HC's 1st good week. .

I keep waiting for the Reds to falter and relinquish my thread starting, but they keep winning, so we will keep at it for now

Big win. If we would have done the smart thing & not to pitch to Pujols at all, we could've won all 3.

Nonetheless, it's big to take 2 of 3 from the Cards and I hope it continues with the odd 2 game series against the Brew Crew. They flopped their rotation and we're facing their ace tomorrow...

Towards the beginning of the season, the starting rotation was killing us. The bullpen was overworked and throwing 4+ innings on a nightly basis. We all knew that the Reds' biggest strength was their pitching. Since then, the Reds' starting pitching has been absolutely outstanding. The offense has had some timely hitting, and the winning attitude has spread throughout the team. The city is starting to take notice. I hope it continues. I'd love to watch some meaningful baseball in July & beyond.
