I'm not saying he doesn't make some mind-boggling moves, but to pin every loss, especially yesterday's, on him is crazy. My only rational line of thinking about leaving Lincoln in is that he pitched pretty well his 1st two innings, and he thought with a 6 run lead, ride the hot arm, and get the game over with quick. I most certainly wouldn't have left him in after the 1st couple hits though. :idunno:

I know I knocked Lincoln in this thread also, but on the other hand, he did pitch two shutout innings prior to the ninth in that game. I do fault Dusty on this game for not pulling Lincoln sooner. He has to know Lincoln is really good or really bad. When it start to go bad, get Lincoln out of there ASAP. If you let Lincoln go into the ninth, someone should already be getting loose in the pen and Lincoln should be gone on the first or at the most second baserunner.

We are 40-plus games into the season and most Reds' fans are already wanting to hang a banner. Heck, even Pete Rose wouldn't bet on this year's version of the Reds to win the World Series.:laugh:

May 21, 201016 yr I think Dusty is a great manager. I only wish he would have stuck with Rhodes yesterday because Coco has been a little shaky at best as of late and Rhodes has been locked in. Can't hang all of the losses on the manager. I am more dissapointed in Cordero and Nix for this loss. How quickly you have forgotten how he kept running Patterson, Bako and Weathers out there last year and where are they all today?

My biggest problem with Dusty and the bullpen is that he never seems to have a man ready when things suddenly start to turn South. He inevitably has to leave the guy in there until things get real ugly before he can get someone ready.

You are the only one going overboard and making up baseless arguments and jokes that aren't funny. They were playing really good ball and gave us something to be excited about for once. Sorry we should wait till 1 day before the playoffs start before we can get excited about the Reds having a chance at making a run.
