May 14, 201016 yr Do you know the max he could get for 1 year in Chicago or NY? I don't honestly know or even know where to find that. But, I would assume that he could get the full 19.2 million that teams other than Cleveland can offer him. Great question. I hope HT or someone has the answer to that.:thumb:
May 15, 201016 yr After some thought: If LeBron wants to leave, I think he should. Who are we as sports fans to criticize someone for wanting to reach the pinnacle of their profession? He brings alot of the criticism down on himself, but I do feel bad for him. He will be criticized for leaving, and eventually he would be criticized for staying. The only way LeBron can save his legacy is to win championships. I think the Bulls give him the best chance of that with their cap room, current roster, and players they could use as trade chips to continue to improve their roster. Sure he will be in Jordan's shadow, but he's already having to live up to the expectations that Jordan and Kobe have set. Why not do it with a full roster, one of the most talented young PGs in the game? So my advice would be to leave. But, no more excuses LeBron. If you go to Chicago, only championships (multiple) will suffice. You'll have your "Pippen" and a "Rodman" in Noah, with an ever improving roster. He will have handpicked his team and it's going to define his career. When/If the championships start coming, his legacy will take care of itself. No one mentions that Kobe demanded a trade and basically held the Lakers hostage until they picked up Gasol. It doesn't matter once the winning starts.

Kobe got rid of his best teammate b/c he got too much credit. Then Kobe couldn't come close to getting anything done on his own. He cried and whined and eventually Memphis was dumb enough to bail them out. LBJ's problem is he isn't as motivated. Kobe has always worried about his legacy. He knew legacies were built on championships. He didn't want to be looked at as Shaq's sidekick but he never ever accepted losing. He's probably the hardest worker w/ the most determination in the league. That has to be respected even of you hate him. LBJ right now seemingly doesn't have that yet.
May 15, 201016 yr I don't see why he couldn't. It wouldn't be as smart because of how the new contract rules will be, he'd probably lose alot of money doing that. I see LeBron taking a 3 or 4 year deal, to keep the pressure on the organization he signs with.:thumb: Lebron could care less about a contract with what he gets from sponsor $$$.

The fact this story is plausible just shows how a franchise is willing to bring in a known failure of an NBA coach in to a situation just to bring in LBJ.
