May 4, 201016 yr I hate it. I don't see how he can help the team? We don't need a corner and we don't need a return man. What does it do other than bring negative publicity?
May 4, 201016 yr I don't see him on the Roster when the season starts but if he can help oh well I guess. At this point it doesn't really matter what the image they have is.
May 4, 201016 yr Doesn't surprise me. We seem to always sign troublemakers. Tank Johnson was one of them, now we have Pacman Jones. We also signed Matt Jones who has had some big legal trouble. Whos next? OJ Simpson to make a return to the Pros?
May 4, 201016 yr I don't have a problem with it, but I'm not sure that he can contribute on the field. I wonder if they'll consider moving him to safety?
May 4, 201016 yr I don't have a problem with it, but I'm not sure that he can contribute on the field. I wonder if they'll consider moving him to safety? Thats a need and it is possible they could do that. Pacman is still young and has plenty of years left. In general, moving from Corner to Safety is one of the easiest transitions to make in the NFL. If they are able to do that and get some production out of him, Bengals could have another great year. However, I see plenty of off-the-field potential problems happening. I really think the the whole AFC North could use a complete shakedown in terms of the players they have on their rosters. Why is it we here most of the AFC North players getting into trouble while the other divisions seem to be just fine?

Who was the Bengals return guy last season? Maybe they want to see if he can contribute in that department.

Quan Cosby & Bernard Scott both returned kicks. So did Caldwell, but he stunk. Both did an alright job, although I think Scott was better. Shipley will get a few looks this year, too.
May 4, 201016 yr I've loved the Bengals since I was a kid but they are the most classless run organization in the NFL. They are getting better at all costs. WR gets arrested lets go sign the poster CHILD for off the field trouble in the NFL. It's a toss up who is a bigger laughing stock. The Raiders because they have been terrible or the Bengals who continue to go after the worst of the worst. If anybody wants to get on their soap box about how they could care less as long as the team gets better then please explain to me how this is a better pickup than the Super Bowl MVP for a 5th rounder? That's what I thought! They could have gone the route of signing a guy without off the field trouble like A. Boldin too but that makes sense.
May 4, 201016 yr Didn't we say some of the same things when guys like Ced Benson and Tank Johnson were signed? The Bengals have had a lot of success in signing "second and third chance guys" like this. In general, this is simply a move to add depth. Let's see how things play out before we start bashing. If the guy comes in and does well, the majority of you will be praising the move.
May 4, 201016 yr 2 points I have on this topic: horrible decision IMO and some of you posters are about to ge ridiculed for saying "we" when talking about your favorite team if it is like the UK basketball thread. Good Luck.
