May 6, 201016 yr Gene Hackman has won some awards maybe but can still be underappreciated. He was the first one to come to mind for me....awards aside, he has never been mentioned as a top "A" lister or lead role type actor. He is always great in character, big or small....think "Ghosts of Mississippi", "The Firm", even the quirkie comedy w/ Robin Williams& Nathan Lane (title escapes me?) Diane Lane is another good choice......beautiful, classy, versatile actress, nuff said! I think you mean "Mississippi Burning." "Ghosts . . ." was about Medgar Evers and trial of DeLay who killed him. 2 othere favorite roles I loved of Hackman and are diverse: Poseidon Adventure (Rev. Scott) & Get Shorty (Director whose name eludes me) :thumb:

June 3, 201016 yr Greatest Denzel, Johnny Depp (recent) Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Morgan Freeman (past to present) meaning 70's to now under appreciated Brad Pitt - most guys envy him because he gets all the girls, but Pitt is an excellent actor. His roles back that up. On the otherhand most women like him because of his looks, when it comes down to it though the guy can act. Edward Norton - guy is one of the greatest actors of all time. His roles in American History X and Fight Club are some of the greatest performances in film history. Very much under appreciated by most. Saw something I really liked the other day. Unfortunately most of us have had to see tee shirts or posters with that vampire guy from that Twilight movie that read team Edward. Well the other day I stumbled upon a poster that had the same script lettering, same design, only it was a picture of Edward Norton's face (I think taken from Fight Club) and it still read Team Edward. I almost bought it.
