April 21, 201016 yr Old scaredy-cat stuff that is not true (about his association). The American people did not believe this scare tactic in the campaign and will not be fooled now. Bill Ayes did that in 1972 . . . What has he been doing since. I know, I know, indoctrinating others so that they will do it again later. Lots of folks on the left bought the spin on that one.... Obama worked for him in the 90's.. Served on committees together in Chicago and where next door neighbors.. Yeah I guess Obama couldn't stand the man...
April 21, 201016 yr I disagree. I believe the right to vote should remain the same, except that if you choose to depend on a government relief program, you should lose the right to vote. Property ownership is not the same as being self supporting. However, I do believe that people on the doll spending someone else's money have no right to decide our leadership. Although I understand your stance on this Camel, I struggle with not allowing legal citizens to vote. It seems un-American to me. I've heard Neal Boortz say on several occasions that none of us have a "Right" to vote in a federal election. I'm not quite sure what he means by it. Maybe Acemona the teacher can clear this up for me.
April 21, 201016 yr So if I lose my job and go on umemployment, then I lose my right to vote, brilliant. people CONTRIBUTE in many ways to this great country not all of which is economical. Your right. Why reward the decision to be self-supportive?

I understand where you are coming from, but I simply have a problem with someone on the doll being allowed to vote for leadership that will keep them there. I feel like it is enabling. Obviously, it would never change, but I feel like certain decisions should make you lose the opportunity to vote.

A classic dysfunctional, codependent, abusive relationship.
April 21, 201016 yr That's what I thought. History stated above "social security supposed to start?-at age 65. As usual, the government has good ideas, but there is simply no way of taking something back once it is given" So I guess there is a way the government can "take something back". Sure, but shouldn't the retirement age be moved back more in line with the longer life expectancy? The way it's tracking now they are giving more, not taking back. That would sure help with the problems it's facing. What expectancy are we at, something in the 70-75 range?
April 21, 201016 yr You mean they lived in the same neighborhood, right? They were not neighbors. When did he work for Ayers? http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122212856075765367.html Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists. The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home. CAC was the political launching ground of Obama. It was headed by Mr. Ayers. It was more than just 'working for' him. The CAC is part of the Annenberg Public Policy Center. Guess what else the Annenberg Public Policy Center runs: http://factcheck.org/ FactCheck.org is a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania. UPenn is a 501©3 organization and your contribution is deductible from U.S. federal income taxes to the full extent allowed by law.

According to this statement whatever the Tea Party does today, it will all be OK by 2048. The big difference is that the Tea Party is peacefully protesting, not blowing up buildings and killing people.
May 4, 201016 yr Author Three days after he decried the lack of civility in American politics, President Obama is quoted in a new book about his presidency referring to the Tea Party movement using a (well known by now) derogatory term with sexual connotations. Awesome. How presidential of him.
