Prayers for Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills

God Speed to all involved in this tragic accident. As a parent, I hope I never know what Mr. and Mrs. Shaffstein as well as my own parents have gone through. Many, many prayers out to the families and extended families affected by this accident.

Continued thoughts and prayers for the two who remain in Alabama as of this morning. Krista Noll and Jessica Russo. I am told Catie Ammerman arrived home last evening and is recouperating.

The scars of something of this magnitude will unfortunately last a lifetime.

The scars of something of this magnitude will unfortuantely last a lifetime.

This will certainly leave a scar on the NDA portion of their lives.

I've heard that all are out of serious condition with the exception of the Russo girl. Krista Noll is obviously sore but she is relatively fine with broken bones.

If its not obvious by my posts on BGP I'm a bit of a cynic. I base it on life experience. High school kids on spring break = kids doing things they shouldn't be doing (like I did when I was their age). See the James kid from St X.

However, by all accounts these girls did what we would all hope our children would do while away on their own.

That doesn't change anything. If anything, it adds to the "why" factor because we always look for answers.

I also learned today that the Schaffstein girl was not ejected from the vehicle.

Wow. So two from the front seat stayed in the car and were released from a hospital the same day. 5 from the back were ejected and 1 is in critical. 1 from the back stayed in and passed away. This story is just so sad. Continued prayers for everyone involved.

This is much different than the James situation and I personally find it a little sad that the media is evening mentioning them in same breath.

A few of the girls made it to school today.
