April 15, 201016 yr I thought I'd share some pictures from my trip to the Masters. We (our old buddy diggerphelps and a couple other friends) were there for Monday's pratice round. It is an amazing place and if you like golf, even just a little, you have to go.

I've been to Augusta and knew exactly where every picture was except the first one-that one must be the new driving/practice range-correct?

April 15, 201016 yr Nice pics, thanks for sharing. Share a little tidbit. Talked to Steve Flesch about Augusta and the greens. He gave me this description: "It's like trying to land a golf ball on the roof of a car and making it stay there". That pretty much summed it up for me. Hopefully, my son and I can get there some day.

April 15, 201016 yr Nice pics. But where others see a beautiful golf course, I just see areas that should be plowed under and turned into productive quail hunting fields. I hate golf by the way. Never understood the logic of hitting something, and then tracking it down just to hit it again to track it down again, over and over and over again. :D

April 15, 201016 yr Author Amazing that they get the bentgrass looking that good that far south. The only bentgrass on the golf course is on the greens. The fairways are bermuda, with a rye grass overseed.
