Police Beating Caught On Tape

You will see that the video and the story do not match. I can't imagine what was going on in the minds of these officers.

Somebody should hold those officers down and club them a few times. That is despicable and I would be ashamed if I was the chief.

I do not trust a single police officer, just as police officers do not trust a single suspect or any person for that matter. Officers demand respect from the United States population and the same respect should be given to them by the officers. I know not all cops are bad, but I do not like the way nearly 100% of them (that I have personally dealt with) them speak so condescendingly and do not have mutual respect between them and the people they are dealing with. I may not get treated the same way by police as I grow older, but being part of a younger generation, cops have never shown me the patience or respect I expect when I always cooperate fully with law enforcement officers.

So you've talked to "nearly 100%" of them?

Let me correct myself. Nearly 100% of officers I have personally dealt with.

P.S. I'm preparing myself for a beating for my opinion.

WOW you never know a story unless you are there but that sure looks totally wrong! The lies on top of it make it even worse.

Nope. I have had much different experiences than you though. That's all.

Good for you. I'm also assuming you've got a few more years on me and you probably aren't treated with the blatant disrespect from officers as some of us younger people are. I've often been treated more like a 5 year old than a 20 year old more often than not by cops for no apparent reason.

I think some of that might be around college. Most cops I know now that I'm older are good guys. There are definatly some that are power freaks and a couple that I don't have much for as people. I think when you stereotype a group that big though it's like any big group there are great people and not so great people. I also think a lot of the ones around college kids act different in my experiences than the ones I see outside of the college atmosphere.

The problem is that you only hear about the bad cops, never all the good ones. When a cop just does his job, you never hear about it. When a rogue cop does something like these guys did, it is all over every news outlet. Sex and violence sell and just a guy doing his job doesn't get good ratings.

Bottom line is that what these particular officers did is reprensible, but should not taint our view on most officers who are hard working men and women who put their life on the line nearly every day.

How much money do you think this kid will get from this? I would think a pretty penny.

Wow!! I was prepared to shrug this one off and actually chuckle, but THAT was pretty sad. Videos of dumb cops doing dumb things are not to hard to come by these days it seems. Stupidity and badges make for a bad combination.

You would think they would know that viedo camera's are everywhere now a dayswhat idiots. This boy just won the lottery. Would any of you all take A beating like that for a couple million?

I hope this guy sues them severely, use of a club is deadly force. I am like you BlueMagic not a trusting individual with police I have had several bad experiences with policeman.

It is sad so many people lack trust in our police force, because there are many and I mean many that do care and act the right way.

I feel really bad for that kid, he may have spit on the horse or something, that we could not see from the video but even that did not constitute a beating of any kind. He looked like he was honestly just having a good time after a game, not bothering anyone.
