March 31, 201016 yr If any of you guys are ever in the Ashland area, check out LaFincas. It's the best in the area by far in my opinion. Don't let the LaFincas in Flemingsburg or Morehead give the one in Ashland a bad name. I've tried all 3 and thought the Flemingsburg and Morehead were terrible while the Ashland location is some of the best Mexican I have ever had. A place called Karen's in the Riviera Maya is the best I ever had. I have never had bad food or a bad experience at the LaFincas in F'burg. The place is clean, service is good and the food is always hot. I get the Vera Cruz and it is crazy good.

I can only compare the food there to the one in Ashland. The one in Ashland is excellent. I just didn't care for the F'burg LaFincas. The service was good though.
March 31, 201016 yr Abuello's, is the best choice if you want to go high end. But for everyday, you can't beat El Rio Grande in Newport. :thumb: Ate there last night, yum!

March 31, 201016 yr I like Rincon, on Euclid in Lexington. When we were UK students, my boyfriend (now husband) and I used to eat there at least twice a week. Last year when we went to a game, we took our two oldest there to eat. It was kind of surreal and was pretty neat that everything is still the same.
March 31, 201016 yr Thats the one, and I agree, it does look like a front operation. :lol: My buddies and I always wondered that, as it seemed like each and every single time we went there, there was the same guy sitting at the bar monitoring the phone and taking notes. :idunno: If it is/was indeed a front operation, it would go a long way toward explaining why you get so much bang for your buck when eating there. :sssh:

April 1, 201016 yr I'm not big on high-end Mexican food. I've had Nadas (downtown Cincy). It was good, but I have a hard time paying $18 for 3 enchiladas and $10 per margarita. I have been to El Rio Grande once and was not very impressed. I am willing to go back & eat there again, but SHE did not like it at all. :lol: You've become entrapped in the Taco Bell way of thinking. My favorite is La Mexicana. Traditional Mexican fast food. Abuelas is good if you want to eat an actual meal.

April 1, 201016 yr Tres Hermanos is by far the best in the Ashland area. They make a dish called Shrimp Diablo that is out of this world good.
