May 22, 201313 yr Knife is my favorite gift as well.... My dad always said a knife and a quarter are the best gifts a man could have. Knife for obvious reasons, and the quarter to symbolize your a call away if they need you. Or the knife breaks! LOL
May 22, 201313 yr Pretty good idea, I struggled with my choice as well. I went with soft side coolers with their initials engraved on them. Everyone seems to like them. Yeah...I think that's a really good one, actually. Not that I didn't appreciate them, but I currently have 2 flasks, a cigar holder, a cigar holder/flask, 2 pocket knives, a pocket watch, a monogrammed beer stein, a leather beer mug, and a money clip - all groomsmen gifts.
May 22, 201313 yr One of my best friends got the best gift of all from a mutual friend of ours wedding we were in............the grooms sister!! They have been married 5 years this summer. lol.
May 22, 201313 yr One of the best 'Best Man' speeches started like this: "When I was trying to write this I had no idea how long it should be until someone gave me the advice that my speech should only be as long as the groom can make love. So on that note, good night."
May 23, 201313 yr When I got married I kind of tied my groomsman gift/Bachelor party all in one. I had a relatively large wedding party (8 people) so I decided to take them to a Reds game. Rented a suite and watched the game. I gave each of them a personalized Louisville Slugger bat as well. Then my guys took me out after that, and had some fun :sssh:... We still talk about 2 years later, and I believe they still have all of their bats.
May 23, 201313 yr I know the wedding in question is soon, but i (like someone else on here) just paid for their tuxes. i recommend it, it made it much easier to ask my guys to be in my wedding if it was cheaper...
May 23, 201313 yr At least the thread lasted longer than the marriage. I am sorry and not trying to poke fun, but that is funny :lol2: My brother's marriage lasted about 7 minutes. Or so it seemed. They got married in October, they got pregnant a couple months earlier but the wedding was already kinds planned, he moved out by December, and finalized the divorce once my nephew was born in May.
May 23, 201313 yr We didn't do tuxes, so I bought all my groomsmen ties for the wedding. They got that and personalized Crown Royal Bottles. I've received all the general groomsmen gifts mentioned, but I was best man for my cousin last year and he bought my tie for the wedding and got myself and his other groomsmen concert tickets. I thought that was pretty cool since we all went to the show together.
