Middleton from last year or 75% of Kentucky's high school elite players this year could ALL play at a Northern Iowa, a Butler, a St. Mary's,etc. NAIA(get real). It's all about the system and coach and if kids would actually consider leaving their friends, girl friends,etc. in Kentucky:idunno: and look outside the state they would find this out. There's tons of Northern Iowa's out there.

Middleton made the right decision. Some people don't have a clue on how good these kids really are.

I know for a fact Middleton got D1 looks and D1 offers were on the table but he thought Georgetown was a perfect fit. The D1 offers weren't big time but D1 is D1. Georgetown a lot of times is practically a D1 team anyways. In the end I think he made the right decision.

Just saw this thread, some of the comments about this young man is unreal.I have had the pleasure of watching him play at Mason Co and AAU. I only wish the best for him. I have been told he has had tuff year this year and understand why he has made this choice. Support his choice 100%, finding the right coach and situtation for him is what is most important and should be what we are focused on. I really think there should be more concern on what's happening in high school than being concernrd about the next level. All you hear any more is where a kid is going to college to play ball from his 8th grade year through high school. To me that's not important, but what is important is achieving at the high school level and then deciding where to go. I don't put much stock in commitments. Anything verbal may is something that may not come about. I don't think a lot of things I read are factual, some being listed from family or friends. I know for a fact that a family member listed places where their son had offers that weren't the truth. When you sign that Letter Of Intent, that is the deal and makes it official. I remember when I was in high school ,most offers came after the season of your senior year. Any more ,if a baby is born and wears a size 8 shoe , some colleges ask for a commitment.

I'm amazed at the number of parents that come on here and throw their kids name out in "3rd person" like they aren't the parent of the kid. They make sure they are listed in the stat lines or when asked about who are the best players in the region etc. so that then people can come on and hype them.

I agree. You can usually tell those people because they bring the boys name up on here about once a week just to keep his name in the public's eye.

I know Treg very well and I have a feeling he will be getting a ton of shots up this summer and hitting the weight room.

I have not seen this young man play basketball but I don't believe D1 schools give scholarships to talentless kids that have no chance to make their program better! Sounds like alot of jealousy to me but thats just my opinion. Congratulations and I hope to see him play at the next level, get an education, enjoy this year and enjoy all the haters too!!

I've known the Setty boys quite a while and both are fine boys and I would like to congratulate each one for their basketball achievements. Both great kids.

Congratulations to the young man, he's getting a opportunity to receive a quality education and play basketball. It doesn't get any better for most kids. Use your opportunity well Treg........
